About The Position

The Room Dining Server/Food Runner position is a full-time role at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park, a hotel located near the University of Utah. Requirements

Previous guest service experience is required.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including Days/Evenings/Weekends and/or Holidays.
Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
Hearing, writing, typing.
Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
Other duties may be assigned.
Must be 21 or older to serve alcohol.
Must possess unexpired or obtain a Utah food handlers permit within 14 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner and assist host or hostess in seating guests as needed.
Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.
Memorize menu selections and wines including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.
Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
