About The Position

Service and turndown guestrooms ensuring Firmdale exceptional standards whilst remembering the finest details in guest rooms and throughout the hotel.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience cleaning in a hospitality and/or residential setting or a passion for cleaning and attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using systems to update room status.
  • Ability to bend and twist and push and pull furniture.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and materials

Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently to ensure guest room cleaning is completed on time.
  • Use correct cleaning chemicals and microfiber cloths for designated surfaces, according to Firmdale’s requirements.
  • Make bed as per Firmdale SOP’S.
  • Be knowledgeable of all the different types of beds and linen, to be used accordingly.
  • Replace guest supplies and towels as per Firmdale’s SOP’s.
  • Bring rejected or abused linen to the attention of the Floor Manager.
  • Report immediately any damages or maintenance issues to the Floor Manager.
  • Inform the Floor Manager, Head of Housekeeping, or Assistant, and immediately log any lost property items found in guest rooms or any public areas.
  • Understand the Do Not Disturb (DND) procedure.
  • Ensure that rooms not serviced are reported to the Floor Manager.
  • Ensure the security of any assigned guest room keys.
  • Follow the security procedure to protect both the guest and the hotel property.
  • Be highly attentive to small details.
  • Work as part of a team, assisting others when requested.
  • Practice good communication with the Floor Manager, Head of Housekeeping, and Assistant.
  • Demonstrate etiquette and standards in Firmdale Housekeeping SOPs.
  • Consistently demonstrate Firmdale standards of customer service.
  • Ensure your pantry is clean.
  • Liaise with the linen porters regarding the linen and equipment needed in the pantry.
  • Respond to all guest requests and report them to the Floor Manager.
  • Check just before the end of your shift if any rooms require service.
  • Be knowledgeable of hotel's fire and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment at all times.
  • Keep corridors, stairways all public and work areas clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
  • Have thorough knowledge of the hotel and the company.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the company.
