About The Position

The Room Attendant will be service-driven, energetic and able to work well in a team environment. Additionally, the Room Attendant will handle the general cleaning of guest rooms, corridors and various other guest areas. Key duties will include the undertaking of special cleaning projects as needed, attending to guest requests promptly and maintaining a clean environment for hotel guests in accordance with our Resort’s Brand and service standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience in hotel housekeeping/room attendant, or directly comparable role in the hospitality industry (luxury, full-service, or upscale hotel/resort experience strongly preferred).
Housekeeping or Hospitality training Diploma or Certificate required.
Superior physical stamina and fitness to perform demanding, repetitive tasks—including prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing/pulling loaded carts or equipment, and continuous movement throughout large property areas for full shifts.
Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English (primary workplace language) with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with guests, supervisors, and teams.
Exceptional attention to detail, self-motivation, reliability, punctuality, and commitment to the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.
Positive, upbeat attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure team environment.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine housekeeping tasks in guest rooms, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting etc.
Complete routine turndown services in guest rooms, including emptying trash; removing used room service items.
Promptly report any deficiencies and maintenance needs in guest rooms.
Cleaning light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors etc.
Assist with special cleaning projects and with laundry as needed.
Perform skilled tasks as needed such as Rose Petal Turndown and other decorative duties.
Execute intensive deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor polishing, window cleaning etc.
Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, carts, keep work areas organized and fully stocked.
Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely while adhering to all health, safety, sanitation protocols.
Timely report of and return of lost and found items for processing.
Follow all key control procedures.
Other duties may be assigned as business need demands.
