The room attendant maintains the cleanliness standards of the hotel in all guest rooms, back of house and public areas. This role is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are cleaned to hotel standards, reporting maintenance issues, inspecting rooms, and handling lost and found items. The position also involves working efficiently with team members, greeting guests, following proper procedures for entering and leaving rooms, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of housekeeping areas. The room attendant must also support environmental commitments by understanding and applying "greening" practices in the hospitality industry.
