Room Attendant (Part-Time)
About The Position
Homewood Suites by Hilton Holyoke-Springfield/North is seeking a Part-Time Room Attendant to join their team. This extended stay hotel features 114 suites with full kitchens. The Room Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and suites, ensuring quality standards and excellent customer service. This role involves cleaning floors, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, reporting issues to supervisors, and responding to guest requests. The position requires flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, with typical shifts from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends. The starting pay rate is $17.75/hour.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Can lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Engaging personality.
Responsibilities
- Clean rooms/suites as assigned by supervisor ensuring quality of cleanliness and customer service.
- Clean floors, vacuum, change linens, make beds, and clean bathrooms.
- Report discrepancies and maintenance problems to supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests.
