Requirements

  • Dynamic and reliable person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to quality assurance and safety.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of conference participants and be proactive in resolving upcoming issues, i.e. late groups, increased number of participants, providing the highest quality of service to clients at all times.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous food service or customer service experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

  • Set up and arrange tables, chairs, buffet stations, and break areas according to work orders and specifications
  • Transfer and move tables and chairs to designated storage areas, meeting rooms, and work spaces as needed
  • Place notepads, pens, candy cups, and other materials according to established work plans
  • Manage multiple meeting room setups per day, including evening and weekend meetings as required
  • Coordinate delivery of materials to meeting rooms and communicate configuration changes to team members
  • Assist with food service station setup and teardown operations
  • Set up, move, and dismantle display tables, shelving, and office workstations as directed
  • Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating and addressing the needs of meeting participants and guests
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to resolve issues such as late arrivals or increased attendance
  • Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
  • Perform off-time cafe attendant duties, including maintaining cleanliness of the cafe, restocking supplies, and ensuring break areas are well-organized and ready for use
