The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand time, product and placement standards to ensure total guest satisfaction. This role involves delivering on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards. The RA will respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include cleaning and servicing assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, which may involve making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas, room refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and dishware. The RA will notify the supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied and report any room unable to be serviced. When assigned to laundry, the RA will monitor laundry supplies and equipment, operate washers and dryers, receive soiled linens, inspect for damages, and fold and store clean linens. The role also involves minimizing waste of supplies and amenities, assisting with deep cleaning projects, reporting needed repairs or unsafe conditions, handling lost and found items, promoting teamwork, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
