About The Position

This role is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and suites in a timely and thorough manner, demonstrating attention to detail and cooperation to work as a team. The Room Attendant will clean and service assigned rooms according to standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, sanitizing, and removing trash. They will also replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, linen, and terry according to hotel standards. The position requires reporting to a supervisor when service is complete, and for any repairs, unsafe conditions, or deficiencies in rooms. The Room Attendant may also assist with deep cleaning projects, ensure all chemicals are labeled, and be able to work as a laundry attendant if required. Reporting, turning in, and/or logging all lost and found items according to procedures is also a key responsibility, as is ensuring a safe working environment when working with cleaning chemicals. Assisting with laundry and restocking carts, monitoring and controlling supplies and amenities, minimizing waste, and ensuring the proper appearance of all hotel areas are also part of the role. The Room Attendant is required to check in and out with their MOD at the beginning and end of their shift and notify their supervisor of any guest complaints. Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments is essential.

Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms and public area in a timely and thorough manner.
Clean and service assigned rooms according to standards and procedures. This includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing, removing trash, etc.
Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, linen and terry in accordance to hotel standards.
Notify supervisor when service is complete.
Report to supervisor for repairs or unsafe condition or deficiencies in the rooms.
May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
Ensure all chemicals are labeled.
Be able to work as laundry attendant if required.
Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to procedures.
Ensure safe working environment when working with cleaning chemicals.
Assist with laundry and restocking carts.
Monitor and control supplies, amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
Ensure proper appearance of all areas of the hotel.
