About The Position

The Rooftop Greeter/ Security is responsible for being the first and last impression of our guests’ rooftop experience. This key individual plays an important role in the success of our busy operation. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, who is reliable, hard-working and dedicated and wants to grow with us.

Requirements

Must have NYS Security License
A team player with a heart for hospitality.
Customer-focused, with guests, clients and employees at the forefront of your thinking.
Nimble and able to adapt to change quickly.
Comfortable working well in stressful, high pressure situations.
Aware that a good reputation is a huge asset to a hotel and committed to being a representative of that great reputation.

Capable of exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally.
Capable of standing for an entire shift or for an extended amount of time.
Capable of reaching overhead, utilizing both hands, leaning over, stooping and kneeling.

Nice To Haves

Practiced, with six months' related experience in hospitality or a service industry.

Responsibilities

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Greet customers with a smile and pleasant demeanor.
Answer the phone in a professional and courteous manner.
Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
Comply and promote LodgeWorks standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, documents and reports to supervisor.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling, which varies according to hotel needs.
Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Defuse guest disturbances and escort from the property if necessary.
Complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents.
Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading/directing guests and associates to safety.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
Check with manager/supervisor before leaving work area for any reason.

Maintain all certifications and licenses as required by company, local, and federal standards.
Assist in any other task or duties as requested by management.
