About The Position

Lancer Scott is seeking a Roofing Technician to cover the North London/M25 area. This role involves providing a comprehensive roofing maintenance service on a variety of spaces, ensuring client expectations for quality, cost, and speed of service are met. The technician will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, assess roof damage, and implement effective repair methods using SIKA products. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing guttering and fascias, ensuring attention to detail in spotting leaks and creating waterproof seals, and demonstrating precise hand-eye coordination for material installation. The role also involves repairing wood structures, reading technical drawings, measuring roof areas, calculating material requirements, and updating job logs. Support will be provided to the Account Manager and Billing Team for query management and invoicing.

Requirements

  • Proven ability and experience working in a general Roofing Maintenance role.
  • Solid carpentry and joinery skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of SIKA products and able to train others.
  • High levels of stamina, strength, and flexibility are required for constant bending, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Well developed communication skills and able to work successfully with team members, contractors, end client and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
  • A good standard of maths skills, able to make accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Full Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of Roofing tasks as instructed by the Contract Support Team.
  • Assess roof damage and use problem solving skills and practical knowledge to agree the most effective repair methods.
  • Use SIKA method and products to fix a range of roofing issues.
  • Maintain and repair guttering and fascia's and plan in regular clearing and cleaning.
  • Attention to detail when assessing damage, spotting leaks, creating waterproof seals, and ensuring patterns are even and structurally sound.
  • Precise hand-eye coordination for using hand and power tools to accurately install materials like slates, tiles, and waterproof membranes.
  • Repair wood structures to include timbers and framing.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings and structural plans.
  • Measure roof areas, calculate material requirements, and determine angles and slopes.
  • Update the job log with notes and upload relevant documentation.
  • Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management to aid the invoicing process.
