Roofing Service Foreman
About The Position
Flynn Group of Companies is hiring a Roofing Service Foreman in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role leads preventative maintenance, damage assessments, leak detection, and repairs on commercial roofing systems. The foreman oversees project completion, trains and supports a crew of one to two technicians, and provides recommendations to clients while maintaining safety and efficiency. The position responds to emergency leaks and includes 24/7 on-call availability, usually one to two weeks per month, with additional compensation for on-call work. The stated pay is $29–$35+ per hour depending on experience.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of commercial roofing experience.
- Experience installing and repairing TPO, EPDM, PVC, and other flat roofing systems.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with no DUIs within the past 5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Skill in identifying roofing issues such as leaks, tears, and drainage problems.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills, including delegation, time management, and training.
- Comfort using mobile apps and technology to document work and complete reports.
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs and maintenance on various commercial roofing systems.
- Investigate and identify roof leaks, inspect damage, and determine the appropriate repair process.
- Communicate professionally with clients and provide recommendations.
- Perform general maintenance, including debris and snow removal, removing old roof material, and cleaning gutters.
- Use a mobile app to record, document, and report completed work.
- Respond to emergency leaks and meet the 24/7 on-call availability requirement.
- Lead, train, and delegate tasks to a team of one to two technicians.
- Oversee project completion with a focus on safety and efficiency.
