Roofing Foreman - Service & Repair
About The Position
Empire Roofing Corporation, a respected commercial roofing contractor with over 40 years of experience and operations across North America, is seeking an experienced Service Foreman for their growing team in the GTA. This role is ideal for a skilled commercial roofing professional who enjoys leading crews, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The position is based locally in the GTA, with minimal overnight travel, allowing employees to be home every night. The Service Foreman will lead roofing service crews in performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and small projects on commercial and industrial roofing systems, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards, while also providing leadership and mentorship.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience
- Proven ability to diagnose roofing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and perform physical work as required
- Valid Working at Heights certification
- Valid G Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
Nice To Haves
- Previous foreman, lead hand, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, particularly TPO roofing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate roofing service crews on commercial and industrial job sites
- Inspect roofing systems and identify repair requirements
- Perform and oversee repairs on TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal, and other commercial roofing systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards
- Train, mentor, and support labourers and service technicians
- Manage tools, equipment, materials, and daily job site logistics
- Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and management
- Complete required documentation, inspections, and reporting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment
- Promote and enforce Empire Roofing's safety policies and procedures
