About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Roofer to carry out planned maintenance and responsive repairs to domestic and commercial properties across the Aberdeenshire contract. The role involves a variety of roofing repairs, working safely and delivering a high standard of workmanship alongside the wider maintenance team.

Requirements

• City & Guilds qualification in Roofing.
• Substantial practical roofing experience, including maintenance and repairs.
• Experience working on domestic and commercial properties.
• Practical knowledge of flat and pitched roofs, guttering, cement work and harling repairs.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to flat and pitched roofs.
• Participate in an on-call rota of one week in eight.
• Repair guttering and associated rainwater drainage components.
• Complete cement work and harling repairs.
• Assess roofing defects and identify suitable repair solutions.
• Complete planned and responsive maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Follow company procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices, particularly when working at height.
• Use authorised tools, plant and access equipment safely and within training.
• Complete accurate timesheets, job records and other required documentation.
• Keep work areas safe and tidy, communicating professionally with residents, clients and colleagues.
