The position also entails waterproofing tasks, installing roofing materials like asphalt roll roofing, asphalt shingles, elastomeric coatings, and tiles, and performing torch-down and cold process methods. The Roofer will cut roofing materials to fit, locate roof problems for repair, dispose of waste safely, and maintain tools and equipment. Interpreting plans, specifications, blueprints, and schematic drawings is also part of the job. The role may involve driving automotive equipment to work sites and supervising helpers and laborers as needed.
