About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roof Service & Repair Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of residential and/or multi-family roofing service, repair, leak diagnosis, or roof maintenance experience, along with strong communication skills, a professional appearance, a solid work ethic, and the ability to perform quality repairs safely and efficiently. This is not a basic laborer position or a “show up and patch something” role. Our service technicians are expected to diagnose roof issues, identify active leak sources, perform quality repairs, document work properly, communicate professionally, and follow company standards on every job. Our service technicians play a critical role in protecting customers, supporting property managers, maintaining warranty standards, assisting inspections, and ensuring that repair work is completed correctly the first time.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of residential and/or multi-family roofing service, repair, maintenance, or leak-diagnosis experience.
  • Proven ability to perform roof repairs safely and correctly.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems, components, installation standards, repair methods, and common failure points.
  • Ability to diagnose leaks and identify likely sources of water intrusion.
  • Ability to safely access and work on roofs, ladders, attics, and exterior building areas.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team-based workflow.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Professional appearance and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable law and company requirements.
  • Ability to use Windows-based systems, iPads, mobile devices, software platforms, and digital documentation tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic Windows and iPad proficiency on-site as part of the interview or on-boarding process.
  • Willingness to follow company standards, safety protocols, job-site procedures, and operational direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AccuLynx CRM or similar roofing/construction project management platforms.
  • Experience with multi-family, HOA, apartment, townhome, or property management service work.
  • Experience with warranty repairs, emergency leak calls, roof maintenance programs, or storm-related repairs.
  • Experience with FLIR, drones, Company Cam, Matterport, CRM platforms, or advanced inspection tools.
  • OSHA, ladder safety, manufacturer, repair, service, or roofing-related certifications.
  • Experience supporting inspectors, estimators, service managers, or production teams.
  • Familiarity with multiple roofing systems beyond standard asphalt shingles.
  • Ability to train or mentor less-experienced field personnel as the company grows.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to identify repair needs beyond the obvious surface condition.

Responsibilities

  • Performing residential, multi-family, and light commercial roof service and repair work.
  • Diagnosing active leaks, roof failures, flashing issues, ventilation problems, storm damage, improper installation, and age-related deterioration.
  • Performing approved roof repairs, temporary leak-prevention measures, maintenance work, and minor corrective repairs in accordance with company standards.
  • Repairing or replacing pipe boots, flashing, vents, shingles, fasteners, sealant areas, gutters, drainage components, roof penetrations, transitions, and related roofing components.
  • Supporting emergency leak calls, warranty service calls, maintenance requests, and scheduled repair work.
  • Safely accessing roofs, attics, exterior building areas, and other related work locations as needed.
  • Reviewing job files, notes, photos, scope information, and service history prior to arriving on site whenever possible.
  • Arriving on time, in the correct scheduled order, in clean professional attire, with the proper materials, tools, equipment, and safety gear that will be provided to you.
  • Documenting all service work thoroughly with clear photos, legible notes, repair descriptions, measurements, materials used, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Updating job files accurately and promptly in AccuLynx or other approved company systems.
  • Communicating professionally with homeowners, tenants, property managers, maintenance personnel, internal coordinators, project managers, inspectors, and operations leadership.
  • Notifying the Service Manager or Service Coordinator of schedule conflicts, additional repair needs, unsafe conditions, material shortages, or scope changes.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle.
  • Following all company safety standards, OSHA-related expectations, ladder safety practices, roof access protocols, PPE requirements, and job-site procedures.
  • Supporting inspections, project managers, production teams, and operations leadership when repair expertise or service support is needed.
  • Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, accountability, workmanship, communication, and documentation on every project.
