Roof Crew Member Dynamic Homes, a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc. designs and manufactures highly customized modular homes for communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. The Roof Crew Member supports the construction of roof assemblies within a controlled manufacturing environment. This role assists with framing, assembling, and installing roof components according to specifications, while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and purchase orders
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use basic math and measuring devices to calculate dimensions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds consistently and safely
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Frame roofs on assembly tables from sheetrock through roof sheathing
  • Build dormers and assemble prebuilt roof components
  • Construct and attach completed roof systems to wall assemblies
  • Inspect materials and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
  • Install insulation systems and vapor barriers as required
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as fall protection
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities across departments to support workforce flexibility and skill development
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on production needs
