About The Position

The roll-up operator must roll the material tight and not funneled, cut at the proper length and assist in wrapping the roll with the plastic to protect it during storage and transportation. This position is for night shift 7pm-7am 3-5 days a week depending on business needs.

Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions and production documents.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts).
  • Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving machinery.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Roll finished material tightly and evenly to prevent funneling or product damage.
  • Cut material to the correct specified length according to production requirements.
  • Assist in wrapping finished rolls with protective plastic for storage and transportation.
  • Inspect finished rolls for quality defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Accurately record production information using company computer systems.
  • Operate equipment safely while following all standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
  • Assist with material handling, staging, and movement of finished products as needed.
  • Follow all quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards immediately.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
  • Cross-train in other production areas as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
