About The Position

The Rolling Process Engineer will optimize performance, maximize material recovery, eliminate process waste, and improve productivity & conversion costs. This is done through engineering and metallurgical solutions, focused improvement projects, and process control. This position works closely in a team environment with other Engineers and managers. This position also supports the quality systems requirement for the coil path and customer quality satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

5 Years experience in Aluminum rolling, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or proven relevant experience, strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve processes to improve product capability & performance, process efficiency and material recovery.
Manage hydraulic, lubricant and filter consumable inventory/purchase orders
Keep coolant process in control and capable for consistent mill performance
Audit and communicate leak performance
Provide Technical expertise & support to daily activities
Lead and supports Coil Quality projects and activities
Lead or participate in the investigation, data analysis and implementation of solutions to complex problems involving multiple production centers and technical aspects
Create opportunities for process improvement and act on those ideas through equipment modification, process improvement, material changes, etc.
Support the quality systems requirement for the CPG department (internal audits, equipment calibration, MOC, CAR, PFMEA, external audits, etc.)
Collaborate with Quality Team on claims/ issues that need immediate resolution
