About The Position

The Roll Thread Operator sets up and operates roll thread machines at the company’s Elyria, Ohio location. The operator changes and adjusts tooling, interprets shop orders, produces parts to specifications, checks product quality with gauges, records production, transfers product to the next operation, and performs daily machine maintenance. The role requires maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace and following health and safety regulations. The position is listed at $24.00 per hour and works the first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior roll thread operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior Tow Motor experience.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
Ability to stand and walk for most of an 8- to 10-hour day in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to bend and lift product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Ability to push or pull product up to 200 pounds.
Ability to use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience using gauges.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate roll thread machines.
Change tooling for job setup, replace tooling, and make adjustments as necessary.
Retrieve tooling from the Tool Crib and document it on the tooling sign-out sheet.
Adjust machine settings as required.
Read and interpret shop orders to produce parts to specifications.
Use appropriate gauges to check products and ensure parts meet quality specifications.
Enter production into the kiosk and move products to the next operation.
Perform daily machine maintenance.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
