The Roll Off Dump Trailer Driver will operate a tractor-trailer truck on an assigned route to service customers safely and efficiently. The role involves delivering collected solid waste or recyclables to designated locations such as landfills, MRFs, or transfer stations. Key responsibilities include operating the Roll Off Dump Trailer and its hydraulic systems, ensuring loads are secure by properly closing tarps and checking for loose trash, and completely emptying trailers when dumping loads. The driver will also be responsible for providing trailer numbers and net weights to CSRs, completing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports, and communicating any mechanical issues to the mechanic and supervisor immediately. Maintaining route quality standards, operating the truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to prevent mechanical failures, and adhering to all safety standards and regulations are crucial. The role also requires maintaining a clean vehicle, complying with all applicable laws and company policies, wearing required personal protective equipment, and reporting all accidents or incidents promptly. A professional demeanor when interacting with customers and the public is expected, along with maintaining accurate records of services performed and working with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies. Attendance at safety and branch meetings is also required, along with performing other duties as assigned by management. Overtime may be required.
