About The Position

As a Roll Off Driver, you are the heartbeat of our local operations. You won’t just be driving a truck—you’ll be delivering reliable, courteous, and safe waste removal services to commercial and industrial customers across our communities. Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required with a minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR a CDL school certificate.
• Ability to maneuver heavy equipment safely, complete daily paperwork/inspections, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Must be comfortable sitting for extended periods (up to 75% of the day), performing physical checks, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and high-traffic environments.
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
• Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off trucks and ancillary equipment to collect and transport waste to post-collection facilities efficiently.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections, route sheet updates, and truck reports to ensure your vehicle remains in top condition.
• Follow all company, federal, state/provincial, and local safety rules.
• Report any hazards, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately to your supervisor or lead.
• Represent the GFL brand with a positive attitude, professional appearance, and exceptional customer service on every route.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, keep your truck cab clean, and collaborate with your team to optimize route efficiency.
