About The Position
GFL Environmental is seeking an energetic, dependable, and safety-focused Roll-Off Commercial Driver (CDL) to join their team in Weldon, NC. This role involves transporting and hauling commercial roll-off containers, operating heavy-duty equipment, and maintaining a positive customer relationship. The position offers local routes, ensuring drivers are home every night, and plays a vital role in environmental sustainability.
Requirements
- Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- 1+ years of commercial driving experience or completion of an accredited CDL school program.
- A proactive commitment to safety, equipment maintenance, and local transit rules.
- Ability to handle physical requirements of the job (lifting, climbing into cabs/containers, working outdoors).
- Great communication skills and a team-player mindset.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport and haul commercial roll-off containers to and from customer sites across the Weldon area.
- Operate roll-off trucks and hydraulic equipment with precision and care.
- Build positive customer relationships through professional, courteous service on every run.
- Complete daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is running in top condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and mechanics to keep routes running smoothly.
