About The Position
Waste Connections is hiring a full-time Roll Off Truck Driver at its hauling location in Monroe, Louisiana. This is a physically active position that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The role involves safely operating a roll off truck to service residential and commercial locations, following dispatch instructions, inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, and interacting professionally with customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 5:30 AM to 4:30 PM, at a rate of $25.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of roll off driving experience.
Nice To Haves
- Class A CDL preferred, with no manual restriction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a roll off truck to pick up and transport waste containers from residential and commercial locations.
- Follow route sheets and dispatch instructions to ensure timely and complete service.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance, including checking fluids, lights, and tires.
- Operate hydraulic controls to lift, secure, and empty containers safely and efficiently.
- Work independently in a physically demanding environment, including loading and unloading without assistance as needed.
- Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers.
- Comply with local, state, and federal transportation and safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
