About The Position

Waste Connections of Colorado Springs is seeking a results-driven sales professional for a field-based role. This position offers the opportunity to build a strong book of business in a growing market with significant earning potential and long-term career growth. You will develop relationships, win new business, and directly influence your success. This role involves selling commercial waste and recycling removal services, prospecting for new opportunities, serving as the primary contact for existing customers, preparing bids, managing pipeline growth, and representing the company at industry events. Approximately 70% of the role is field-based and 30% is office-based.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of outside B2B contract sales success
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated professional comfortable managing a large territory
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed expectations

Responsibilities

  • Sell commercial waste and recycling removal services across the Colorado Springs market
  • Prospect, build relationships, and uncover new opportunities (approximately 70% field-based)
  • Serve as the primary contact for an existing portfolio of customers
  • Prepare bids, maintain sales activity reporting, and manage pipeline growth
  • Represent the company at industry events, associations, and trade shows
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experience
  • Participate in strategic planning and account management initiatives (approximately 30% office-based)
