About The Position

Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a highly motivated Roll Off CDL Driver in Hermiston, OR. The working schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday 5:00am-3:30pm or when the route is completed (generally 9-11 hrs/day) with overtime often. The route will be operating a Roll Off Truck. We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented, and service-driven person with a passion for the environment. As a CDL Driver, you need to be reliable, safety-minded, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. You should also be highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are important, as well as the ability to establish and maintain professional and cooperative relationships with both customers and colleagues.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate.
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

Operating a Roll off truck on a specified route to Deliver and Pickup Drop Boxes.
Must be able to drive manual transmission.
Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the Route Tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
