About The Position

Ideal Tridon Group is seeking Roll Mill Operators on all shifts for their Smyrna, TN plant. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that can be loud and may contain dust and debris. The operator will perform various tasks related to Roll Mill operations, including machine setup and operation, handling parts and materials, and packing finished products. Safety procedures and proper handling of materials are paramount. The position may require overtime, a flexible schedule, reporting early, working late, and weekends.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years of solid experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as you will frequently and repetitively be required to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear.
• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms.
• May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
• Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.

Nice To Haves

• Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained and certified on the hi-lo.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Uses computer-controlled equipment to select position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete more complex tasks.
• May assist with training other machine operators.
• May calculate and assist with numeric controlled programming.
• Perform various tasks involved in Roll Mill operation including but not limited to setting up and operating machines, handling parts and materials, packing parts and other related activities using hand tools, various type of packing materials.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including requests for help from co-workers.
• Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment.
• Provide quality checks as determined.
