Roll Mill Automation Technician (NSUT)
About The Position
The Automation Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and optimizing our automated systems. The Automation technician will provide technical expertise, promote Safety, Quality, Cost, & Reliability that support World Class Operations and demonstrate leadership through the maintenance strategy. Requirements
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and scheduled/unscheduled overtime
- Two-year college degree or other education, training, and certifications
- Demonstrable experience with PLC Programming
- Demonstrable experience with HMI's
- Demonstrable experience with Wonderware and/or FTVIEW
- Demonstrable experience with scaling instrumentation
- Demonstrable experience with PID loops
Nice To Haves
- Four-year college degree or other education, training, and certifications
- Emerson/GE & Control Logix’s Experience
- Experience commissioning & trouble shooting AB & ABB Drives
- Working Knowledge of common protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E-Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
