About The Position

Pravāh is building foundational intelligence for the electric grid, utilizing machine learning to assist electric utilities in making real-time decisions for grid planning and operations. The goal is to reduce blackout risks and mitigate volatility caused by extreme events. The company is backed by Khosla Ventures, Pear VC, and Conviction. This role is intentionally open-ended, designed for exceptional individuals who can identify a specific area of contribution and propose how they would fill a gap within the team. Pravāh is seeking individuals across various domains, including machine learning, software engineering, power systems, weather, business development, and operations, who can bring a clear point of view and a proactive approach to solving complex problems at the frontier of AI and physical infrastructure.

Requirements

• High agency and a bias for action; ability to build, fix, and ship without waiting for perfect conditions or a detailed playbook.
• Ability to take full ownership from Day 1, thrive in ambiguity, reason from first principles, and take problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Define a new modeling direction in GNNs, RL, or computer vision (for ML researchers).
• Bridge grid physics and the AI stack (for power systems engineers).
• Own technical deployments end-to-end, understanding utility operations (for forward-deployed engineers).
• Own product deployment (for founding engineers).
• Push the frontier of AI-weather prediction for grid applications (for weather scientists).
• Build the commercial motion within the utility landscape (for GTM or BD specialists).
• Take full ownership from Day 1, thriving in ambiguity and reasoning from first principles.
• Contribute to solving hard, open-ended problems at the intersection of AI and physical infrastructure.
• Shape technical direction and influence the company's trajectory.
• Collaborate closely with a deeply technical and motivated founding team.
