About The Position

We're partnering with a research facility in the Jupiter area that is seeking a dependable Rodent Kennel Technician to join their team. This position offers an opportunity to support important research while working in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• At least one year of recent experience working with animals in a research, veterinary, laboratory, agricultural, or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, and moving equipment throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• AALAS ALAT certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and prepare animal cages and equipment for reuse.
• Operate cage washing, sterilization, and sanitation equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Safely handle and dispose of bedding, waste, and other materials.
• Follow all animal care, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize animal support areas, including storage rooms and hallways.
• Transport cages, bedding, equipment, and supplies throughout the facility.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies.
• Collect sanitation testing samples as directed.
• Assist with training new team members when needed.
• Complete required training and follow all facility policies and procedures.
