About The Position

Custom Concrete is seeking motivated and dependable Rodbusters for its commercial construction team. The role installs reinforcing steel used in commercial foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and other structural concrete projects. It involves hands-on, outdoor work on active construction sites and collaboration with construction crews to help build infrastructure and commercial facilities.

Requirements

• Previous rebar installation, rodbusting, concrete, or construction experience is preferred.
• Ability to identify rebar sizes and understand placement requirements.
• Ability to read construction drawings and reinforcement schedules.
• Basic construction math and measuring skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, and position reinforcing steel materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work on active construction sites.

• Experience with commercial concrete construction.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow reinforcing steel drawings, bar lists, and project plans.
• Unload, stage, sort, and organize reinforcing steel materials.
• Measure, cut, bend, place, and tie reinforcing steel.
• Install rebar, wire mesh, cages, chairs, spacers, and other reinforcement accessories.
• Maintain required spacing, alignment, and concrete cover.
• Assist with inspections and quality checks before concrete placement.
• Coordinate with carpenters, laborers, and concrete crews.
• Report jobsite concerns, material shortages, and drawing discrepancies.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work environment safe.
• Follow company and project safety requirements.
