Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Health and Safety or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Supplies and maintains proper amount and type of shot in machine for efficient shot blasting operation.
Operates shaker to remove dust from collector canvas and determine that proper amount of scale and dirt is being exhausted.
Operates equipment and observes operation to determine that same is functioning as required.
Ensures proper lubricating of bearings and gear cases by others.
Arranges rods on feed table and observes that rods are being properly fed into machine.
Checks that rods unloaded from machine are properly positioned in cradle.
Visually inspects rods for straightness and surface condition and replaces tags on bundles as required.
Reports any unusual condition in operation, equipment, or material to supervisor.
Works with minimum of supervision to properly perform these duties.
Obtains reasonable production with minimum supervision.
Maintains a clean and orderly machine and work area.
