About The Position

We are currently searching for an experienced Rod Person to support our Southwest Region located in Louisiana. The Rod Person reports to the Party Chief and is responsible for assisting with field surveying activities, including operation and maintenance of survey equipment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn land surveying. This is an entry level position that will require some overnight travel and working outside in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Safety oriented
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of surveying experience
