About The Position

Collaborate with the hardware and software teams to ideate, prototype and develop new robotic systems and concepts. Design, develop, maintain and integrate electrical and electronics sub-systems, involving high-power electrical components, circuit protection devices, motors, motor drives, sensors and associated wiring architecture following technical requirements of the robot. Design, assemble, test and debug custom PCBAs, inclusive of prototyping, validation and system integration in the robot. Evaluate, select, integrate, and validate actuators, sensors and other electromechanical components. Develop and maintain motor, actuator and sensor drivers in Python / C++. Design and implement control architectures involving PLCs, embedded devices, sensors, and distributed control systems through hardware integration and firmware development. Work on full cycles of plan/execute/test in complex projects. Triage and debug cross-disciplinary issues across mechanical, electrical, electronics, firmware and controls sub-systems. Contribute towards developing processes and documentation for robot assembly, bring-up and troubleshooting. Support field testing, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements for deployed robotic systems. Sharing your knowledge and skills with your teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth.
