You will be part of the proven team of Framatome’s Nondestructive Examinations (NDE) Solutions Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. You will work with the Nondestructive Examinations (NDE) Engineering organization, which designs tooling and complex robotic systems to perform inspections of nuclear plants around the world! Our focus is on visual, ultrasonic, and eddy current exams. This role is a unique opportunity for someone who likes the idea of seeing lots of complex robotic systems get designed, built, and used every year!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of fundamental concept, practices and procedures in the area of specialization.
  • Understanding of network protocols and application deployment across environments.
  • Experience with C++ and/or C#.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Development.
  • Experience with MFC and/or .NET
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve fundamental technical issues.
  • Good communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team that includes mechanical, electrical and software engineers.
  • Create first-of-a-kind solutions to meet customer needs and respond to emergent issues.
  • Support design of systems that must operate in challenging environments while meeting rigid quality requirements.
  • Perform software development for various control systems.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Support tooling qualification and acceptance testing.
  • Provide technical support for newly deployed robotic systems.
  • Periodically travel to customer sites to see your designs put into action.
