Robotics Software Engineer - Intern
About The Position
Bonsai Robotics is looking for a Robotics Software Intern to join our team working on cutting-edge autonomous systems in agriculture. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious, and excited to help deploy real-world robotics solutions in challenging environments. You’ll contribute to short-term (3–6 month) projects suited to your experience level. Possible areas include: Developing a complete, high-performance robotic vehicle application Building tools for sensor data collection and analysis Creating on- and off-board software components for robotic platforms Collaborating across Robotics, Vision, and Cloud teams to integrate systems with clean, consistent interfaces
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Experience with robotics or autonomous systems (via internships, clubs, personal projects, etc.)
- Proficient in C++ or Python
- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills
- Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with ROS2 is a plus
Nice To Haves
- Data collection for AV systems
- Working with different sensor modalities (Camera, GPS, Lidar etc.)
