About The Position

Robotics & Digital Solutions, a part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting a Robotics Systems Integration Sustaining Engineer, located in Santa Clara, CA. At J&J Robotics, we're changing the trajectory of health for humanity, using robotics to enhance healthcare providers' abilities and improve patients' diagnoses, treatments, and recovery times. J&J Robotics was established in 2020 with the integration of Auris Health, Verb Surgical, C-SATS, and Ethicon. It comprises three key med-tech platforms: Surgical Robotics (OTTAVA™), Flexible Robotics (MONARCH®), and Digital Solutions. Join our collaborative, rapidly growing team where you'll create breakthrough medical technologies that unite multiple subject areas to build a connected digital ecosystem that advances medical professionals' skills and improves patient outcomes. The Robotics Integration Sustaining Engineer will focus on lifecycle support on OTTAVA™ surgical robotics subsystems from manufacturing to field deployment, through conducting root cause analysis of failures through systematic investigation of failure mechanisms, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, robotics controls and software engineers to document and develop mitigations to critical issues and prevent issue recurrence in future system releases. This is an outstanding opportunity to craft OTTAVA™'s capabilities and shape the future of surgical robotics!
