About The Position

A leading robotics technology company is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer with deep expertise in Localization and Autonomous Navigation to support the continued advancement of its next-generation robotic platforms. This role is heavily focused on robot positioning, mapping, sensor fusion, and localization accuracy within complex real-world environments. This is a highly visible engineering role working alongside perception, planning, controls, and simulation teams to improve autonomous system performance and reliability across a growing robotics platform.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of professional robotics software engineering experience
Strong modern C++ development experience (C++11/14/17)
Strong experience with ROS / ROS2 and Linux environments
Hands-on experience with: Localization systems, SLAM, Mapping and navigation, Sensor fusion, State estimation
Experience working with robotic sensors including LiDAR, IMUs, cameras, and odometry systems
Strong understanding of autonomous robotics software architectures and real-time systems

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize localization systems for autonomous mobile robots
Improve robot positioning accuracy using sensor fusion and state estimation techniques
Develop and maintain SLAM, mapping, and localization software components
Integrate and process data from LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, wheel odometry, GPS, and other robotic sensors
Analyze robot logs and debug localization drift, mapping inconsistencies, and navigation issues
Collaborate with perception, planning, and controls engineers on full autonomy stack integration
Support simulation, replay, testing, and validation of localization performance
Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, and engineering best practices
