About The Position

Robotics Automation Product Manager – Robotics Systems is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and coordinating the technical documentation that defines robotic products throughout the product lifecycle. The role works with subject matter experts across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Controls, Manufacturing, Quality, and Installation to ensure that product requirements, specifications, interfaces, and supporting technical documentation are complete, organized, current, and accessible. Rather than serving as the technical subject matter expert for each engineering discipline, the Product Manager provides structure and coordination across disciplines. The role ensures that documentation developed by engineering teams is captured consistently, changes are properly maintained, dependencies between disciplines are understood, and teams are working from a common and current product definition.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Experience organizing and maintaining technical documentation for complex products or systems.
  • Experience working with engineering requirements, specifications, drawings, interface documentation, or other controlled technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes for robotic, automated, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate information and activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing, inconsistent, outdated, or conflicting technical information.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial robotics, automated equipment, or material handling systems.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Controls.
  • Familiarity with requirements management, product lifecycle management (PLM), document management, CAD, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with engineering change management, revision control, and product configuration management.
  • Familiarity with industrial controls, PLCs, motion control, networking, sensors, and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience supporting system integration, verification, validation, commissioning, or product release activities.
  • Experience developing or administering documentation standards, templates, and engineering documentation processes.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams or facilitating multidisciplinary engineering activities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, maintain, and manage product requirements, engineering specifications, interface documentation, and other technical documentation developed by subject matter experts across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Controls, Manufacturing, Quality, and Installation.
  • Coordinate with engineering subject matter experts to ensure required product documentation is complete, current, appropriately structured, and maintained throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Manage documentation changes, revision history, traceability, configuration information, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure teams are working from a consistent product definition.
  • Facilitate requirements reviews, documentation reviews, design reviews, and other cross-functional meetings to identify gaps, conflicting information, unresolved interfaces, and required documentation updates.
  • Develop and continuously improve standards, templates, processes, and tools for organizing and maintaining product documentation across the organization.
