Wayve’s Multi-Embodiment Generalist Agent (MEGA) team within Wayve Labs is building foundation models for general-purpose robots beyond self-driving vehicles. The team aims to create intelligent agents that can perceive, reason, move, and manipulate the physical world across different embodiments, including mobile manipulators, dual-arm platforms, and humanoids. The role is described as a founding-member opportunity in a fast-moving research environment, with ownership and ambiguity. The posting describes work on leading the development of an offline 3D reconstruction capability using vehicle sensor data in dynamic scenes. The system will draw on localization and mapping, state estimation, and sensor fusion to produce offline 3D geometric reconstructions and best-estimate ego motion from heterogeneous vehicle platforms and sensor suites. Its outputs will support internal validation, data enrichment, and model development by turning raw sensor data into reliable, quality-assessed 3D ground-truth outputs. The role calls for hands-on work with robots and the ability to debug across hardware, software, and machine-learning systems. The successful candidate will move between research exploration and practical engineering, exercise sound judgment in experiment design, data quality, and model evaluation, and communicate across research, engineering, and product teams. Wayve operates a hybrid working model, combining office collaboration with remote work. The role may include hands-on work in vehicle workshops and labs. Location-dependent offerings include relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable, learning and development budgets, and comprehensive benefits.
