Now Hiring: Robotic Welding Technician(s) Starting Pay Rates on Experience & Pre-Employment Test Results: Robotic Welding Technician Level I: $25.25 Robotic Welding Technician Level II: $27.25 Robotic Welding Technician Level III: $29.50

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing, welding, machine operation, or technical experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Ability to learn technical processes and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely in a production environment.
  • Willingness to learn and progress within the Robotic Welding Technician career path.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate assigned robotic welding cells according to established procedures.
  • Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into robotic welding cells.
  • Start, stop, and monitor robotic weld cycles.
  • Verify that the correct parts, fixtures, materials, and approved programs are being used.
  • Monitor the welding process and immediately report abnormal conditions.
  • Maintain production requirements while following established work instructions.
  • Perform basic visual inspection of completed welds.
  • Identify obvious weld defects and notify the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow established weld procedures, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
  • Properly identify and segregate nonconforming parts.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Perform routine operator-level inspections and equipment checks.
  • Maintain welding guns, contact tips, wire-feed components, fixtures, and other operator-maintained equipment.
  • Identify unusual noises, movements, alarms, leaks, or other equipment conditions.
  • Report equipment problems to the appropriate technician or lead.
  • Maintain a clean and organized robotic welding cell.
  • Follow all safety procedures and required PPE requirements.
  • Follow robotic-cell safety procedures and machine-guarding requirements.
  • Never bypass safety devices, interlocks, or guarding.
  • Maintain safe material-handling practices.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in training related to robotic welding, equipment operation, quality, and safety.
  • Learn basic welding terminology, weld defects, fixtures, tooling, and robotic-cell operation.
  • Develop the ability to recognize common equipment and process abnormalities.
  • Seek guidance when encountering unfamiliar conditions or problems.
