About The Position

DJS Manufacturing, a division of Wisconsin Stamping & Manufacturing, is a privately-held independent metal fabrication company seeking a motivated and dedicated Robotic Welding Cell Set-up/Operator. We produce components for a wide range of industries and pride ourselves on providing high-quality products and services. Our facility is equipped with the latest manufacturing technology, including CNC machining, full metal fabrication (laser, brake, welding), painting, and integrated assemblies.

Requirements

  • Experience running a Panasonic TA series MIG welding robot.
  • Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Daily setup and operation of a MIG welding robot to meet customer specifications for quantity and quality.
  • Assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines.
  • Perform housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging.
  • Operate manual and/or robotic welding equipment.
  • Read shop orders and engineering drawings to determine specifications.
  • Apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.
  • Produce assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Perform repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces into fixtures.
  • Measure dimensions of metal work pieces using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, rulers, etc.
  • Perform quality checks and report issues to lead and/or supervisor.
  • Accurately document and maintain information in written or electronic form.
  • Complete finishing functions such as grinding and sanding.
  • Perform operator preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems, welders, or components.
  • Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Modify computer-controlled robot movements.
  • Adopt and incorporate quality methods into work.
  • Work independently.
