About The Position
Standard Iron, a leader in contract manufacturing for over 90 years, is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Robotic Welders to support their 1st Shift team. This role involves operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet production standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality to maintain efficient workflow and ensure on-time delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production robotic welding experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a 3G Vertical Up weld test using .035 solid wire with pulse welding.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and welding specifications.
- Experience with MIG and pulse welding processes.
- Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment.
- Experience using inspection and measuring tools.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Operate robotic welding systems to weld metal parts according to specifications
- Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into robotic cells
- Perform basic programming adjustments and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards and compliance with blueprints
- Complete required documentation, including production counts and quality checks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
