About The Position

The welding operator will safely run production machines as assigned while maintaining quality of the parts. This position works in a production environment and will report directly to the Production supervisor and will have daily interaction with other team members. This job description describes the general nature, and the level of work performed by the team members assigned to this position. Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Experienced running production machinery, robotic welding preferred.
Familiar with quality verification methods and measuring devices.

Nice To Haves

GMAW welding background preferred.
Hand welding training or certification preferred.
Hilo license preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely run production machines as assigned while maintaining quality of the parts.
Run assigned jobs at the required production rate.
Complete documentation and recording as required for quality, production, downtime, rework, scrap, etc.
Ensure compliance to manufacturing requirements such as correct labelling/tagging and correct reporting.
Ensure safety and PPE requirements are met in the workplace.
Read, interpret, and properly carry out work instructions.
Be responsible for and held accountable for defective product produced.
Work well with team members to achieve production and company goals.
Report safety issues immediately to supervisor and/or management staff.
Understand and be able to communicate company quality policy.
Conduct corrective action and perform problem-solving to resolve issues.
Work on and learn to operate a variety of machines or activities as assigned.
Be willing to train and learn new skillsets and concepts to achieve company goals.
