This role involves integrating and testing the designed functionality of a robotic palletizing system. The technician will represent the company during factory acceptance tests and customer demos.

Requirements

  • Proficient Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient Electrical aptitude
  • Proficient Pneumatic aptitude
  • Blueprint comprehension
  • Comprehension of Programmable Logic Controllers and automation
  • Proficient Written and Oral Communication
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Basic hand tools
  • Basic power tools
  • Math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division)
  • Ability to identify robot circuits and components
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot panels after power up
  • Ability to start and operate the robot
  • Ability to operate the conveyors
  • Ability to navigate and fully utilize OXPA software
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in factory automation, automated machinery, machinery controls, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Verify proper mechanical operation of all equipment, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Verify proper electrical operation of all equipment, working with live power up to 575 volts.
  • Verify proper programmable operation of all equipment, including all software involved in PLC and OXPA programming.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Perform robot operations and programming.
  • Manage customer relations (internal and external), including conducting customer FATs, attending turnover meetings, and conducting customer demonstrations.
  • Set up, perform, and support the Sales department on customer demonstrations.
  • Train, guide, and mentor other full-time and temporary employees.
  • Travel for work may be requested to support customers onsite or assist the Customer Support Services department.
