About The Position

This role is for a graduate engineer focused on developing solutions for challenging problems in the field of robotics, specifically within maritime robotics. The engineer will join a collaborative team working on software, hardware, and field testing across disciplines such as machine perception, autonomous decision-making, data fusion, control systems, and mechanical design. Applications include Uncrewed Air, Sea Surface, and Underwater vehicles. The team is dedicated to creating novel robotic solutions for the U.S. Navy and fostering innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skilled in software or mechanical design methodologies and techniques applicable to robotic systems.
  • Commitment to learning and a willingness to pick up and apply new skills.
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Classroom or professional experience working closely with robotic systems, autonomous systems, or machine perception (including machine learning) algorithms.
  • Experience developing in a modern, collaborative software or hardware development environment.
  • Possess a current active Secret clearance.
