About The Position
A Robot Weld Operator sets up programs, and monitors automated welding machinery to produce metal parts according to specifications. Key duties include loading/unloading components, troubleshooting, performing routine maintenance, and inspecting welds for quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in robotic welding, manufacturing, or manual MIG welding.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, or job specifications.
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and stand for long periods.
- HS graduate or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of prior machinist experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or manufacturing quality environment preferred.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate robotic welding systems, including loading/unloading parts and managing fixtures.
- Select and load welding programs, adjust parameters (amperage, voltage, wire feed) for optimal performance.
- Inspect finished welds using precision tools to ensure compliance with quality standards, removing slag/spatter.
- Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., tip cleaning, wire replacement) and troubleshoot errors.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE and maintaining a safe work area.
