About The Position

Collis LLC, a subsidiary of SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC, is a growing multinational supplier to the global appliance OEMs. With over 70 years of expertise and innovation, they design and sell components and systems to various markets including residential appliances (refrigeration, cooking, laundry), commercial refrigeration, HVAC, retail display, and home/office organization. The Robot Operator will set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines or robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. This role also includes operating laser cutters or laser-beam machines.

Requirements

  • Valid Forklift Certification (company certifies onsite).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and calipers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to mechanically set up machines for changeovers and make appropriate adjustments when issues arise.
  • Accurate measuring and math skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of required measuring tools.
  • Must have verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers.
  • Work overtime as necessary.
  • Produce all parts to quality standards.
  • Understand how to setup and operate rod & wire str., automats, benders, from press, welders, frame handler, inline and trimmers.
  • Learn how gages work in alignment with making quality parts.
  • Learn how to adjust entron boxes.
  • Learn how to operate and control pendants.
  • Learn how to troubleshoot machines and tooling.
  • Learn how to identify unsatisfactory tooling and components.
  • Perform lock and tag outs on machines in accordance with safety standards.
  • May be required to do own trucking and operate material handling devices as needed.
  • Produce to standard rate at a minimum.
  • Obtain and maintain required tools.
  • Perform and document all required quality checks of parts produced.
  • Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area per area 5S procedures.
  • Will be assigned to other jobs when the machine is not running.
  • Other duties as assigned.
