Weave is building general-purpose robots that work in the real world. Our robots are deployed outside the lab, performing everyday tasks in real environments where the people, objects, and situations they encounter are constantly changing. As a Robot Operator, you’ll work directly with these robots and our teleoperation systems, helping them perform tasks such as folding laundry, picking up and organizing objects, and interacting with their surroundings. Some of this work supports robots actively operating in the field; the rest helps generate the data they need to become increasingly capable on their own. Operating a robot well takes more than following instructions. You’ll need to be consistent and precise while paying attention to what’s happening around the robot. You’ll learn to recognize when a task is going well, when something has changed, and when to continue, retry, or escalate. This is an opportunity to work with robots at the point where they leave the lab and become real products. What you learn from operating them — how people interact with them, what works, what breaks, and what needs to be better — directly shapes how we build them. You’ll help establish the workflows, behaviors, and standards that could define how people use robots in their everyday lives.
