About The Position

This is a project-based position where the individual will operate the robot cutter. The role involves setting up and operating CNC, NC, lathes, and semi-automatic machinery. The operator will study blueprints and layouts to understand dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements. Precision measuring instruments will be used to verify completed work against specifications. The position requires adherence to safety and project rules, including wearing personal safety equipment. The role is performed under minimum supervision and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines. Manual dexterity is essential for operating machinery and computers.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent.
May require previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates CNC, NC, lathes and semi-automatic.
Studies blueprints, layouts, and sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operation, and setup requirements.
Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Verifies completed work with the tolerance limits stated in the specifications.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Performs other duties and activities as required.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Works under minimum supervision.
