About the Role As a key member of our Roadways Department, you'll perform a variety of essential tasks that directly benefit our community. Your responsibilities will include: Operating our trucks for snow plowing and hauling debris. Performing seasonal roadside and drainage maintenance. Assisting with the construction and repair of town roads. Leaf Collection Contributing to vehicle maintenance. This is an active, outdoor role where you'll work in varying weather conditions. Experience with paving, concrete, and heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of truck driving experience, preferably with heavy equipment.
  • A valid Connecticut Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • The ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with paving, concrete, and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Experience in vehicle and road maintenance is a plus.
